My sister’s birthday was October 14, 2018, and since the Baby Shower, on October 6, 2018, had been successful we decided to go back to Terra Nova.
This time we ordered from the main menu and I selected the Fire Roasted Filet Mignon with the Filet cooked medium rare. It was delicious. The roasted potatoes were flavorful and well cooked as was the asparagus. My sister had the Bang Bang Tempura Shrimp appetizer and a bowl of onion soup. She said it was also delicious. My husband ordered the Veal Saltimbocca with Sage Fettucine. There was more than he could eat and we brought home the remainder. He said it was tender and delicious. Everyone else seemed to enjoy their meals as well as the 3 children.
Four of the 6 adults present ordered wine with the meal, and I must say it was pleasant though we ordered a Pinot Grigio and did not expect anything spectacular. It was a house wine for $7 a glass.
The waitress was the same one who helped us during the Baby Shower, and she remembered us. She was quick to provide whatever we needed, courteous and full of smiles. She was also prompt with serving us and our wait time was minimal.
But, the same problem of torn page menus still existed! That is such a distracting factor for me because it tends to remind me of a second rate restaurant whose whole atmosphere is tainted. My expectations are immediately lowered.
Therefore, it still rates as 4 plates.
